Simon brings a unique mix of personal and professional experiences to his work. His lifelong love of sport led him to competitive road cycling, where he rode for South Australia’s first pro cycling team, Savings and Loans. This experience gave him deep insight into the challenges of high-performance sport, in addition to the importance in helping athletes stay connected to their passions in life

Simon initially worked as a physiotherapist for 10 years in Australia and the UK before returning to university to complete a Master’s in Sport & Exercise Psychology. His combined experience in psychology and physiotherapy allows him to take a holistic approach to helping his clients thrive. Simon completed research on psychological factors in hamstring injuries in the AFL, and he has a strong interest in supporting athletes recovering from injury and managing persistent pain

Currently, Simon is the Performance & Wellbeing Psychologist for the South Australian Men’s Cricket Team at SACA and works at Sports College SA, helping young athletes experience the benefits of performance psychology. He also provides psychological support to athletes through the AFL Players Association and Professional Footballers Australia, in addition to having experience across a range of sports including basketball, soccer, tennis, triathlon, netball, and football
